Sandwich:

  • 3 slices white sandwich bread, toasted
  • 4 oz sliced deli turkey
  • 3 slices cooked bacon
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 2 leaves romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 2 slices Swiss or provolone cheese (optional)
  • 12 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Pickles, for serving

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread: Toast the bread until golden brown.
  2. Spread mayonnaise: Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice.
  3. Layer the sandwich: On the first slice, layer turkey, a slice of cheese, tomato, and lettuce. Top with second slice of bread (mayo side down), then layer with bacon, remaining turkey, cheese, tomato, and lettuce. Place final slice of bread on top, mayo side down.
  4. Press and slice: Press slightly, secure with toothpicks, and slice diagonally into halves or quarters.
  5. Serve: Serve with pickles or chips on the side.
