Buttery croissants filled with almond cream, topped with sliced almonds and powdered sugar. A bakery-style treat made at home with no fuss!

Croissants:

  • 4 store-bought croissants (day-old preferred)

Almond Filling:

  • ½ cup almond flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • 2 tbsp milk (for brushing)
  • 2 tbsp sliced almonds
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice croissants: Slice croissants in half horizontally.
  3. Make almond filling: In a bowl, beat butter and sugar until smooth. Add egg, almond flour, and almond extract. Mix into a thick paste.
  4. Fill croissants: Spread almond filling inside each croissant and sandwich back.
  5. Brush and top: Brush tops with milk, spread more filling on top, and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
  6. Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
  7. Dust and serve: Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
