Dry Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp dried culinary lavender
Wet Ingredients:
- ½ cup unsalted butter, room temp
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and dried lavender.
- Prepare Wet Ingredients: Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs one at a time. Stir in milk and vanilla.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gently mix the dry ingredients into the wet until just combined.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Glaze and Garnish: Cool the bread, then drizzle with glaze. Garnish with lavender sprigs if desired.
