Ingredients

Scale

For the Garlic Butter Shrimp:

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (or olive oil)
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

For the Asparagus and Mushrooms:

  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup cremini mushrooms, halved or sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 1–2 minutes per side or until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add remaining butter to the skillet. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add mushrooms and cook for 3–4 minutes until browned. Add asparagus and sauté until just tender, about 3–5 minutes.
  3. Return shrimp to the skillet, add lemon juice, and stir everything together until heated through.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot, optionally topped with red pepper flakes or a sprinkle of parsley.
