This Spiderweb Cheesecake is a classic vanilla cheesecake with a dark chocolate crust, topped with a spooky spiderweb design made from melted chocolate. The smooth, creamy texture paired with the bittersweet chocolate creates a perfect balance of flavors. It’s the ultimate Halloween showstopper.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

For the Cheesecake:

  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Prepare Crust: Combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter, then press the mixture into the bottom of the pan to form the crust.
  3. Make Cheesecake Batter: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract and sour cream.
  4. Bake: Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust and smooth the top. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  5. Cool and Chill: Let the cheesecake cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  6. Decorate: Once chilled, use the melted dark chocolate to pipe a spiderweb design on top. Use a toothpick to drag lines outward for a web effect.
  7. Serve: Slice and serve this creepy yet delicious cheesecake!
