Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Sauce & Cheese:

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 can (15 oz / 425g) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook Beef: In a large oven-safe pot or deep skillet, heat olive oil. Brown ground beef with onion until no longer pink. Add garlic, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir in tomato paste.
  2. Build Sauce: Pour in tomato sauce and beef broth. Bring to a simmer, then stir in dry macaroni. Cover and cook on low for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente.
  3. Add Cheese & Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Stir in half the mozzarella and all the Parmesan. Top with remaining mozzarella.
  4. Bake: Transfer to oven and bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
